Leading and international company in the new technologies sector is looking for an IT&IP Legal Counsel for its offices in Madrid (Spain).
1. Primary tasks:

- Legal advice & preparation of legal reports related to the following areas:
- New Technologies & Digital Law
- Trust Services Providers / eIDAS
- Personal Data Protection (GDPR)
- Intellectual Property (software protection)
- Corporate compliance
- Money Laundering Prevention

- Analysis of the regulatory framework for trust services and similar providers in Spain, Europe, LATAM and North America.
- Ensure the correct legal execution of the company's strategic decisions and initiatives.
- Collaboration and assistance to the IT area of the company in the creation and improvement of different trust services and other types of electronic solutions, to allow the development of secure digital transactions.
- Negotiation and drafting of all types of contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and collaborators (current or potential). Mainly: Service provision contracts (SLA agreements), software licensing contracts, software development contracts, distribution agreements and other forms of commercial collaboration.
- Monitoring the company's regulatory compliance framework, identifying new threats, updating the risk level, and adopting appropriate mitigation measures.
- Assistance to the Information Security area of the company in the process of obtaining and renewing security certifications (ISO 27X, NIST...) and, if necessary, collaboration and/or assistance in the development of the relevant policies and procedures.

2. Requirements:
- Academic background:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or similar.
- Master's Degree in New Technologies Law, Corporate Legal Consultancy or similar.
- Work experience:
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience in the development of the functions / responsibilities above indicated.
- Previous experience in the development of conformity assessment processes (art. 21 eIDAS).
- Languages:
- Spanish (native).
- English (proficiency | C2 level of the CEFR).

- Additional requirements: knowledge and interest in the new technologies sector (AI, Facial Recognition, Self-Sovereign Identity, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency...).

Estudios mínimos
- MS/MA degree in Law or related field.
Experiencia mínima
- 5 years as a Legal Counsel with an established law firm or General Legal or relevant position (specifically related to both IT and digital development)
Idiomas mínimos
- Spanish: C2 or Native.
- English: C2 or Native.
