For an important international company in the industrial machinery sector, we are hiring a Senior Area Manager, as a part of the company's International Sales team. The major part of the role is managing part of the distributor network but also involves some Key Account Management and Product Management responsibilities.

Responsabilities:
- Grow sales of equipment in your region.
- Manage, train, support and grow a network of reseller partners in your region. This involves finding suitable distributors for vacant territories and replacing distributors in underperforming territories.
- Provide support to the Key Accounts Management team on projects with multinational companies in your region.
- Assist to sector exhibitions in the region and co-operate with marketing on the production and presentation of sales support material to the assigned reseller partners, and on the obtention of information for competitive analysis
- Business planning. Set budgets for each country in the region and monitor performance against budgets
- Evaluate specific projects in terms of technical requirements, discount requests and changes to standard payment terms
- Specific initiatives and incentives to drive the sales of equipment in the region
- Training and development of distributors
- Monitor and report back on competitor activity in the region: database of competition (Products, Markets served, Pricing and Installed base) and lost orders database to track why and where we lost orders.

Requirements:
- Engineering and studies related to trade, international trade and sales or similar.
- 5 years? experience in sales of technology equipment.
- Experience in packaging industry, coding or laser products and sales management through distributors will be a plus.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills.
- Good level of numeracy and computer literacy (Microsoft Packages and CRM system an advantage)
- Motivated self-starter used to working on their own for long periods
- Suitable candidates should have a degree in business management/marketing or related discipline.
- Passport that allows visa-free travel within the region
